I present my first work-related video Weblog about a sorority’s philanthropy efforts with breast cancer awareness.
Next Generation of Hokies Embrace Philanthropy from The Campaign for Virginia Tech on Vimeo.
Gary Cope was on campus Tuesday, Oct. 20, and met some sisters from Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. They were promoting breast cancer awareness and research as part of their national philanthropy initiative. Gary had his camera with him and tells the story in this video weblog.
Supporting Susan G. Komen was one of the main reasons I joined Zeta Tau Alpha at Virginia Tech. There are a lot of negative connotations associated with fraternities and sororities but the truth of the matter is that ZTA, nationally, has donated over $3 million to SGK since 1992. And that’s just awesome.
Thanks, Gary, for putting the spotlight on their hard work!
